In fall 2022, I was winner of the residency of the Friends of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne Métropole, in partnership with MAMC+ and the City of Saint-Étienne. The city, a place of multiple migrations, in particular because of the old mines and industry, has an exceptional network of family gardens. I was able to explore part of these gardens looking for stories of plants from elsewhere. I found magnificent stories of roots.
Thanks to the selection jury, to the Friends of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne Métropole for the financial support of this project, to the city of Saint-Étienne for making the studio available, to the Musée d'Art modern and contemporary art from Saint-Étienne Métropole, to Anne Favier, lecturer at the University of Saint-Étienne, to Martine Dancer, to Véronique Dupuis, to Pierre Cauchois, to the Estampille screen printing workshop, to the team of the Museum of Art and Industry for their support and collaboration.
